Atelie André Lacerda

André Pedroso de Lacerda, 1981, was born in Porto Alegre/RS, where he lives and maintains his studio. Despite being born in Porto Alegre, he is influenced by several regional cultures in the country, as he lived in Amazonas, Ceará, Pernambuco and São Paulo.
The artist makes his creations a way to express his ideas, combining his creativity with his ability as a craftsman to produce the pieces manually.
He brings to the theme of his works some of his childhood memories, marked by the gauchesca culture of the sheds, the work in the field, and the almost mystical animals that inhabit his work.
In addition, he shows his fascination with the subject of bodies and mind, with fanciful allegories of animals and forms that extend to reality like sculptures at different scales.
The themes of creativity and craftsmanship are part of her daily studies, as two parallels between the human hand and its ability to shape thought.
